The Solution
Create an education programme to help them understand how unique the product they are working with is.
This education programme comprised of a education presentation shown over a 4 day period, introducing the distilling process, the uniqueness of Glenmorangie as a Highland Distillery, the history of the distillery and its establishment in Scottish history and the individual company brands and their tasting notes.
As well as a comprehensive tour of the distillery itself, and lectures by various members of the distillery team, each “student” was also given a log book in which to take notes, and awarded a certificate at the end of this week-long programme. Each “student” is also kept up-to-date with the happenings of other staff world-wide, using a website created especially to do this job, whiskyconnections.com.
The Result
A much stronger bond with staff from all regions of the world, developing the Glenmorangie family.
