Although the Bank of Scotland had sponsored the Scottish Premierleague for a number of years, they had never been really associated with it in the public’s eye. To turn this around we were asked to look at developing a new badge which would incorporate BoS colours and the BoS brand typeface, but which would also be “very football”.

This brand was featured on pitch side advertising hoardings, football players’ shirts, TV sports coverage, advertising and promotional material.

This award winning whisky was conceived by Drew Mackenzie-Smith who owns the ruins of Lindores Abbey in North Fife.

Lindores is famous for being the first recorded site of the manufacture of Scotch Whisky in the year 1494. Friar John Cor is recorded in the Exchequer Rolls purchasing the base ingredients to make aqua vitae for a visit by the then King of Scotland.

For this project Zero won a Wines and Spirits International design award.

Project Scope:

BRAND

PACKAGING

WEBSITE

PROMOTIONAL LEAFLET

“With the history behind Lindores Abbey Whisky it would have been all to easy to go down the tried and tested “hils and Glens” route, but Zero Design came up with a modern, fresh design, for the web site, literature and packaging which to me encapsulates exactly what Lindores Abbey Whisky is all about”.

Billed as the most important exhibition ever staged in Scotland, Impressionist Gardens brought together works by the leading artists of the Impressionist movement including Renoir and Monet, with the binding theme of gardens and plants.

The exhibition itself was hosted in the RSA building at the foot of the Mound on Princes Street, but there was also a tour and associated exhibition staged at the Royal Botanical Garden in Inverleith where visitors could see the plants featured in a selection of the painted works.

Zero produced all of the marketing material for this exhibition, from small printed items like leaflets, invites and cards, through posters and hanging banners (especially those hung between the pillars of the RSA building) and large plant marker exhibition boards at the Botanical Gardens to a full advertising campaign both in the press and in large format on bus sided and taxis.
